About:
The Department of Science Education aims at preparing quality teachers in Science and Mathematics for upper primary and secondary stages of education. The implemented strategy is by integrating general studies comprising science and mathematics, language studies to enhance communication skills, and professional studies comprising foundations of education, pedagogy of school subjects, and practicum related to the tasks and functions of a school teacher. The Department was headed by Dr. (Mrs.) Renu Pandey till June 2019 and was later taken over by Mrs. Pooja Sharma as head from July 2019.
