Women’s Cell of college is a dedicated platform designed to address the needs and welfare of female staff and students. Its primary objective is to create a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for women in the academic setting. Here’s an overview of the typical functions and activities of a Women’s Cell in our college:

1. Support and Counseling:

  • Provides counseling services for emotional, academic, and personal issues.

  • Offers a safe space to discuss gender-related concerns, harassment, and other challenges.

2. Gender Sensitization:

  • Organizes workshops, seminars, and awareness programs on gender equality, women’s rights, and social issues.
  • Promotes awareness about gender stereotypes, biases, and discrimination.
  • Encourages respect, understanding, and support between male and female students.

3. Preventing Harassment:

  • Works in line with the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) guidelines.
  • Addresses complaints related to sexual harassment, bullying, or any other form of gender-based discrimination.
  • Ensures a safe academic environment by promoting respect for personal space and boundaries.

4. Empowerment Activities:

On the occasion of International  Women’s Day , Rangoli Competition was organized by the Women Cell on 8th March 2022.

On 7 March 2022 Input Session was given by Dr. Gunjan Bhargava Sharma (Obstetrician and Gynecologist) on Tips of Health and Hygiene organized by Women Cell.

Women Cell organized one day eye checkup camp “CARE YOUR EYE” on 11th February 2022 ,Friday under the supervision of Dr. Usha Datt (eye specialist) and her team from Netram eye care center.
