Its first director was <strong>Col G.G. Bewoor<\/strong>, who later became the <strong>Chief of Army Staff<\/strong>. Initially launched with just <strong>20,000 cadets<\/strong>, NCC has now grown into a formidable organization with a strength exceeding <strong>13 lakh cadets<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>NCC operates under the <strong>Ministry of Defence, India<\/strong>, and is led by a <strong>Director General<\/strong> of the rank equivalent to a <strong>Three-Star Army Officer<\/strong>. It provides an orientation towards life in the <strong>Indian Armed Forces<\/strong> while fostering <strong>national integration<\/strong>. NCC instills essential values such as <strong>leadership, character, discipline, camaraderie, secularism, adventure, and selfless service<\/strong> among young citizens.<\/p>\n<p>To promote <strong>national unity and cultural harmony<\/strong>, NCC organizes <strong>various camps<\/strong> at <strong>district, state, national, and international levels<\/strong>. These events serve as platforms for both <strong>competition and collaboration<\/strong>, addressing the <strong>social, cultural, and regional<\/strong> aspirations of the youth while strengthening their commitment to the nation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>OVERVIEW<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>SAIT is enrolled with 1 MP ARMD SQN NCC on 16<sup>th<\/sup> August 2021. Armoured as the name suggests is the weaponry division of Indian army, mainly responsible for operations of tanks in the war frontier. This is the best NCC unit to be enrolled in as a cadet.<\/p>\n<p>First ANO of NCC Mr. Abhinav Lodhi served for 2 years and then handed over it to Mr. Satyavir Singh. Currently it is being functioned by Ms. Bhawna Pandey (CTO).<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Objectives of NCC<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>To cultivate <strong>character, comradeship, discipline, leadership, a secular outlook, a spirit of adventure, and the ideals of selfless service<\/strong> among the youth of the nation.<\/li>\n<li>To build a <strong>trained, organized, and motivated<\/strong> pool of young individuals capable of leading in various spheres of life and contributing to <strong>national service<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>To create an environment that encourages and inspires youth to consider a <strong>career in the Armed Forces<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Core Values of NCC<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>NCC is a dynamic, responsive, and continuously evolving organization, guided by fundamental values that shape the character and conduct of its cadets. In total 46 Cadets are enrolled in this year, i.e. 2024-25<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Our strength of Senior Division cadets enrolled in is 15 and those of Senior Wings cadets is 18. In total 33 Cadets are enrolled in this year, i.e. 2023-24<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Our strength of Senior Division cadets enrolled in is 13 and those of Senior Wings cadets is 20. In total 33 Cadets are enrolled in this year, i.e. 2022-23<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Our strength of Senior Division cadets enrolled in is 15 and those of Senior Wings cadets is 10.
